Disaster relief for families in Pakistan
Deal with disaster worldwide – gift code DR1
Severe flooding in the province of Punjab, Pakistan, damaged homes and livelihoods. Your gifts for disaster relief were used by Blythswood’s partners to help families such as that of Shamoon Masih, in a village north of Lahore.
“The roof of two rooms collapsed,” reported a worker for partner organisation Life Through Sports (LTS). “The boundary walls were cracked and broken, leaving the family without safe shelter.
With your support, LTS provided food packages for immediate relief, and hygiene and personal care items for the women. “We were able to meet their basic needs during the emergency period,” the worker said. “However further support is required for them to have safe living conditions.”
