Passing on the baton to Elma, Danny says: “It’s been a privilege to be part of Blythswood’s work and mission for over 16 years. It gives me great pleasure to see Elma taking the fundraising team forward.”
Elma is passionate about fundraising
Elma Mackay is Blythswood’s new head of fundraising, following the retirement of Danny Muschate. Since 2019, Elma has been the organisation’s fundraiser for the north of Scotland. “Over the past four years I’ve been moved by the extraordinary kindness of people towards our projects,” she says.
“Your support means we can give people opportunities in their education and help through our community projects, and it enables us to share the good news of Jesus.
“I’m passionate about fundraising because I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work that happens both here in the UK and abroad.
“I was really touched to visit the Daniel Centre where we help young men to find their feet in society, and to see the Basis Project in action, which provides food and essentials to people who have nothing. These people, even in the most difficult conditions, were so appreciative.”
Elma’s priority is to help the fundraising team to further raise awareness of Blythswood’s work and to build on current partnerships with churches, schools and groups. To find out how you can fundraise for Blythswood, contact Elma on elma.mackay@blythswood.org.
