With support from Blythswood, Tapiwa completed his A levels and gained entry to university
School fees support helped Tapiwa reach university
A young man who was enabled to complete high school with help from Blythswood Care has graduated with an honours degree in Information Systems.
Tapiwa and his twin brother were orphaned when very young, and an uncle stepped in to meet the cost of the boys going to school. But when the uncle retired, there was no more money to meet this expense.
They were among a number of young people without family support for whom Stephen Damuputirai of Streams of Hope sought help from Blythswood Care.
“Blythswood did a fantastic job by sponsoring school fees and uniforms so that these brothers could complete form six,” Stephen says.
“Tapiwa did very well in his A levels and gained a place at Midlands State University. He is very thankful for the help he received from Blythswood which got him to that point.”
Zimbabwe’s economic problems make it hard to find a job but Tapiwa, aged 23, is now working as a manager for a haulage company.
