Care with clean water – Gift code OH6

Three villages in Sindh province, Pakistan, received a solar water plant, a device which uses the energy of the sun to distil water from a contaminated source, rendering it safe to drink. Blythswood partner organisation Life Through Sports (LTS) took the opportunity to improve the lives of these villagers after a young man from that district attended one of their sports training programmes.

“Jaman Das told us about the situation in his village,” says LTS director Stephen John. “He mentioned how people struggled to get water. The women had to walk miles to fill buckets for their families. We were glad that support from Blythswood Care enabled us to help these communities in this way.”
