Big boxes for little people: shoebox distributors make sure that your gifts go to some of the poorest families in Europe

Your gifts reach some of the poorest families in Europe

Six-year-old Dominik and his two sisters Szimonetta (4) and Melania (2) are growing up in a poor neighbourhood on the outskirts of Tatabanya, northwest Hungary. Their mum has no paid employment and their dad can find work only occasionally. The family occupy a single-roomed dwelling and share an outside toilet with many other families. Water has to be fetched from a common well on the street.

Melinda Lőrincz who works for ADRA Hungary delivered your gifts to these children before Christmas. She says: “They were happy to find toys and hats and scarves in their boxes.”
